Dark and Stormy
Dark and Stormy was an explosion of firsts for us. It is the first “refined” piece in our line incorporating a beautiful black walnut slab with remarkable characteristics; a real find. By finishing the edges the black walnut is able to show of it’s dimensional beauty which is never-ending. That new-to-us detail sent us in an exciting new added direction that impacts some of our work moving ahead.
We were able to incorporate stainless steel bowties, again, a new element for us. Closely mimicking the tables’ stainless steel colored base, it melds wood and steel inextricably.
Dark and Stormy incorporated a substantial glass top. Yes, a first. This gives this table an added degree of functionality and protects the beautiful leather playing surface, which finishes off the coloration evoking the cocktail for which it is named, from day to day use.
